EASTON, Pa. (May 2023) – Easton Arts Academy Elementary Charter School is pleased to announce that the school’s charter has been renewed, paving the way for it to continue inspiring students with its immersive arts-focused education that combines traditional academics with daily experiences in the arts.

“We are delighted to serve the students and families of Easton and the surrounding areas,” said Mohamed Hagag, the school’s acting Chief Executive Officer. “Data has shown that students flourish when immersed in both the arts and academic programs tailored to their learning needs, and we see the benefits of this approach firsthand every day. We are excited to embark on our seventh year of providing students the tools they need to succeed for the rest of their lives.”

Students at Easton Arts Academy take a variety of arts classes, including courses that focus on visual art, theatre, music, and dance, in addition to a traditional academic program. Founded in 2017, the school embraces the educational philosophy that artistic pursuits and hands-on learning enhance academic achievement and contribute to success in a wide variety of professional fields later in life.

Located in a renovated historic building in downtown Easton, the school offers tuition-free enrollment to students from 15 surrounding school districts. Free transportation and free lunches are also provided for every student. Easton Arts Academy regularly features students’ work in performances and art displays for the community, including recent winter and spring concerts at the State Theatre Center for the Arts.

This year, the school welcomed two new additions to the leadership team: principal Charles Bomboy Jr. and assistant principal Yu Kai Cheung, both of whom have overseen a variety of alternative and specialized educational programs at the elementary, intermediate, and secondary school levels.
